Welcome to Spotter. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. Please read them.
Spotter is a social fitness app that lets you see when your friends are training, plan and join sessions together, and track your own progress. It is not a personal training or medical service, and nothing in the app should be treated as professional fitness or health advice.
Spotter has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior of any kind.
When using Spotter, you agree not to:
If someone is bothering you, use the Block or Report features — reports are reviewed by us directly, and violations result in content removal and/or account suspension or termination.
You keep ownership of the content you create (session notes, plans, messages, photos). By posting or sending content through Spotter, you give us a limited license to store, display, and transmit it as needed to operate the app (for example, showing your session to a friend who's allowed to see it, or delivering your message to its recipient). We don't use your content for advertising or sell it to third parties.
We may remove content, or suspend or terminate an account, that violates these terms or that we believe puts other users at risk.
Session check-in and gym detection rely on your device's location services and on gym coordinates in our database, which may occasionally be inaccurate or approximate. Use these features as a convenience, not as a guarantee of precise location — and always follow your own judgment and local laws (for example, around traffic and personal safety) when traveling to or from a gym.
Messages are only available between mutual friends and are subject to the same Block/Report protections as the rest of the app. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted (see our Privacy Policy) — please keep that in mind for anything sensitive.
Spotter is provided "as is." We work to keep it reliable and accurate, but we don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that gym data, session details, or streaks will always be perfectly accurate. Spotter is not a substitute for professional medical or fitness advice — talk to a qualified professional before starting any new exercise program.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Spotter and its developer are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including any injury sustained while training, traveling to or from a gym, or meeting another user in person. Always exercise your own judgment when meeting people from the app or engaging in physical activity.
These terms are governed by the laws of Czech Republic, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
We may update these terms as Spotter evolves. If we make material changes, we'll notify you in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use Spotter after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
